Ode to Sitka

First time ever! During the 2011 Arti Gras Festival the Greater Sitka Arts Council and Sitka Arti Gras will host an Ode to Sitka: A Visual and Performance Art Show. This is an opportunity for Sitka residents of all ages to express their love, fondness, appreciation, infatuation, admiration, attraction, or whatever feelings you may have for anything Sitka through art, poetry, dance, song, music, paint, sculpture, pottery, quilting, photography, animation, theater, satire, humor, neoimpressionism, or whatever medium your Sitka heart desires.
Visual art pieces will be displayed in the exhibit room at the Harrigan Centennial Hall starting March 17th through Sunday March 20th.  The performance pieces will be part of the Arti Gras Monthly Grind March 12th at the Sheet’ka Kwan Naa Kahidi community house.
Entry information will be out in early January so start thinking of ideas and gathering materials and or friends.
